#AustrianGP Day 1: Clear the ring! It's time for the greatest show on two wheels!

The MotoGP circus has rolled into the Red Bull Ring with the best motorbike riders in the world are keen to fight it out in the 11th round of the 2019 FIM MotoGP World Championship. It’s time to see who’ll be the pole sitter and the ultimate winner at this year's Red Bull Ring edition.

The first highlight at the circuit was Thursday's Public Pitlane Walk as the MotoGP teams opened their pit boxes up to the public to give fans a view to their exclusive bikes and hear the engines firing for the first time. Screaming engines and an exciting view into the pits – that’s only possible at the Red Bull Ring. And: the legendary Valentino Rossi showed up to sign autographs and pose for selfies.

Ducati vs. Honda? The question remains the same in 2019!

Marc Márquez currently leads the MotoGP World Championship by 63 points ahead of Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati) on147 points. Dovi’s team-mate Danilo Petrucci is third with 129 points. With seven right handers and four straights, the Red Bull Ring offers the highest speed lap in the MotoGP season. The riders shared their thoughts at the pre-event press conference…

"The Red Bull Ring is the only track where I have never won," Marc Márquez said and made clear he will stake everything on Sunday. The Spaniard not only expects competition by Ducati, but says "Yamaha and Suzuki are strong as well". JHis closest rival is Andrea Dovizioso, who aims to build on a string of Ducati wins at the Red Bull Ring. But the Italian makes clear it wouldn't “be easy with Marc in the form he has right now”.

It’s also the home race for KTM and their leading rider Pol Espargaró looks to build on his recent momentum. "We are looking to get some more decent results in regular conditions," said the Spaniard.
