We rock the F1 night!

Every year, the Ö3 Concerts make sure that the heat is on during the Formula 1 weekend – even off the racetrack. On 30 June, the night before the Formula 1 Großer Preis von Österreich, national musicians and international musicians will provide a first-rate show. Rocking the stage for the second time will be Sunrise Avenue. They will be supported by legendary Austrian duo Pizzera & Jaus and veteran musician Gert Steinbäcker. Austrian F1 enthusiasts, above all, will thus get more than their money’s worth during this open air experience.

Rock from Finland

Well-known classics with the potential to become everlasting earworms such as “Hollywood Hills” or “Fairytale Gone Bad” were written by Finish rock band Sunrise Avenue. Back in 2014, they have celebrated the Formula 1 weekend for the first time with the gearheads and made the Mur Valley reverberate with their sounds. This year, they will once again put the pedal to the metal and celebrate the premier class of motorsport’s return to Styria.

Traditional feelings on the Ö3 stage

Of course, domestic entertainers will also enter the stage during Austria’s Formula 1 extravaganza. Styrian-Viennese duo Pizzera & Jaus has been the talk of the town in recent years and will make their audience’s hips shake on Saturday evening. Contemporary hymns sung in dialect such as “Eine ins Leben” or “Hooligan” will invite fans to sing along. As a bonus, Styrian Gert Steinbäcker will perform Austrian evergreens such as “Großvater” and will furthermore present hits from his current album titled “Ja eh”.

You can find the current programme here.

Concerts can be visited with a valid F1 weekend ticket, as well as a valid Saturday ticket. As visitor capacity at the concert area is limited, the "first come - first serve" principle is followed.

The “Holiday Grand Prix” will also offer fun for the entire family over the course of the weekend: The Legend’s Parade, the F1 Fanzone and much more.

Those who haven’t yet secured their tickets for the motorsports highlight of 2018 should do so quickly via the Ticket Shop.
