How can I avoid traffic jams?

The Boxenfunk ("pit radio“) section in the Spielberg app provides information on the current traffic situation courtesy of Ö3 radio station. Use the app-area Anreise (“Getting there”) to inform yourself in advance about the different possibilities. We hope you have a pleasant trip.

When do the parking spaces open?

Parking areas are open from 7:00 a.m. from Thursday to Sunday and are located at walking distance from the Red Bull Ring. Visitors are entitled to use the parking areas on location free of charge (except buses and trucks). We wish you a pleasant arrival!

Is parking for people with disabilities provided?

Wheel chair users who have purchased a ticket for the start-finish grandstand are granted special parking rights allowing them to drive right up to the Red Bull Ring. An additional Info Point whose specially trained employees will help you with all your requests is located directly at the parking area for wheel chair users. The stand is equipped with a wheel chair ramp as well as toilets on the same level as the stand seats. Specially signposted parking spaces in all parking areas are available to all those who have purchased a ticket for disabled fans. Are there still tickets for the race weekend?

What is included in my weekend ticket?

Your weekend ticket gives you access to the event site during the entire race weekend, to the Public Pit Lane Walk on Thursday, the Ö3 concerts and much more – find all the information HERE.

Where can I find the current programme itinerary?

You can find the complete itinerary in the Spielberg App’s “"Programme" section or HERE. On top of that the Boxenfunk ("pit radio") in the app will keep you updated about what's going on at the Red Bull Ring during the racing weekend.

How and where can I buy concert tickets?

A valid F1 ticket gives you access to the concerts. Admission is granted upon presentation of your F1 ticket on the basis of the first come – first serve principle.

Can I also buy concert tickets?

Concert tickets are not for sale. Your F1 ticket is your concert ticket.

Where are the concerts going to be?

The Ö3 concerts on Friday and Saturday are staged at the concert site immediately adjacent to the Red Bull Ring’s entrance. You can find the precise location in the Spielberg App’s Site Plan section or HERE.

Where can I find a cash machine at the event site?

A cash machine is located directly to the right of the main entrance of the voestalpine wing. You can find the precise location in the Spielberg App’s Site Plan section, in the event guide or HERE.

How can I pay inside the concert area?

To ensure each exciting day at the festival ends on a smooth note, we’ve introduced a new payment system this year. All payments on the festival grounds now need to be made using a cashless payment system. This system will shorten the queues at the food and drink vendors and let you keep track of your spending, without the hassle of having to have cash on you all the time. You can view all your transactions via whenever you like. What’s more you can conveniently download all the relevant receipts via the event portal.

And how does the cashless-system work?

Get the Cashless Card at one of the charging stations. There is a € 3,- deposit.

Get a balance on your card. You can use cash, an atm-card or a credit card (VISA, MASTER) for that.

Show your card when you pay. The correct amount will be taken.

You can always get information about your current balance at the charging station or when you buy food and/or drinks.

At the end of the event you can easily get your balance back. Either by transfer from your home (only possible with a personalized card) or at one of the charging stations.

Where is the lost & found centre?

The Info Points at the event site also serve as lost & found centres. You can find the exact locations in the Spielberg App or you can download the plan here.

Is there a seating order on the grandstands?

All seats are numbered. Please find information on your seat on your valid F1 ticket.

How can I participate in the Public Pit Lane Walk?

Purchasers of a weekend ticket are granted access to the Public Pit Lane Walk which will take place on Thursday. The Public Pit Lane Walk leads from the start-finish grandstand through the pit lane to the F1 Village. From the start-finish grandstand, you will be called sector by sector to begin your visit to the pit lane. We therefore ask you to be there on time. Please find additional information HERE.

Where are the teams' merchandise stands?

The teams' merchandise stands are located at the F1 FanZone.

Is there an audio description for visually impaired spectators?

Audio description for visually impaired and blind persons is available. The action on the race track is presented by experienced commentators. The audio description is broadcast on radio frequency 94.2 Megahertz (MHz), the track announcer on frequency 92.3 MHz. Live commentary is available for all practise sessions and races and the programme can be received in the entire main grand stand area and beyond.

Terms & Conditions – FORMULA 1

It is a condition of public admission to the FORMULA 1 GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH 2018 (“Event”) that all ticketholders comply with the following rules:

  1. The ticket is purchased for the Event. The date of the Event and/or the support program may be subject to change without refund of monies or exchange of ticket. No refunds or exchanges are available in respect of tickets unless the Event is cancelled. No booking charge will be refunded if the Event is cancelled. No tickets are transferable to other events. Tickets to the Event are strictly nontransferable and not for resale. No ticket for the Event shall be sold or offered for sale for any form of fee or reward without the prior written consent of the Promoter first being obtained and without complying with these terms and conditions in all respects. No ticket for the Event shall be used by any person for advertising, promotional or commercial purposes including without limitation, prizes, competitions, contests, sweepstakes or packaged with hospitality or other products without the prior written consent of the Promoter and FOWC first being obtained. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission to (or eject from) the Venue to any person (a) not complying with these terms and conditions or (b) who is in possession of a ticket which has been sold or used other than in compliance with these terms and conditions.
  2. You must not make, create, store, record or transmit any kind of sound recording, visual footage or audio-visual footage (Recording), or store, record or transmit any information or other data, including official timing results, performance, telemetry, weather or race control data (Data) of, at, or in relation to the Event. It is forbidden to take into the Venue any equipment that may enable you to do the aforementioned acts. Personal electronic devices (Including still image cameras, mobile telephones and other handheld personal communications devices) are permitted within the Venue unless otherwise advised, provided that any Recording, Data and any Image, including photographic Images and any still pictures derived or capable of being derived from a Recording (Image) of the Event that is recorded, stored and/or created thereon is used for personal, private and non-commercial purposes only.
  3. As a condition of entry to the Venue you agree that (a) the use of any such Recording, Data or Image for any form of public advertisement display, commercial gain or for any other purpose (except for your private enjoyment) without the prior written consent of FOWC is strictly forbidden and will constitute a breach of these terms and conditions for which you may be liable; and (b) on request by the Promoter or FOWC, you shall assign to FOWC in writing the copyright and all other intellectual property in any Image or Recording that you create, make, store or record of, at or in relation to the Event; and (c) you consent to the use by FOWC (and by any third party authorized by FOWC from time to time) for the purposes of or in connection with any publication, exhibition or broadcast (including any advertising or promotional literature, campaign or material) in any media worldwide and approved by FOWC at any still or moving picture images taken at the Event where such Image includes any image of you and you waive any and all of your personality and privacy rights to the extent necessary to permit such use.
  4. You hereby acknowledge that motor racing the Event and certain activities associated therewith (including without limitation, support events) are dangerous. The Promoter, sanctioning bodies, FIA, FOWC and its affiliates, including Formula One Management Limited, Formula One Licensing B.V., Formula One Asset Management Limited, FIA, Formula One Hospitality and Event Services Limited, Formula One Marketing Limited and Formula Motorsport Limited, persons involved in the organization of the Event (including officials, marshals, rescue and medical staff), the competitors and drivers (such parties to include where relevant all directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors and affiliated companies), are not responsible for any loss or damage howsoever caused to you or your property to the maximum extent permitted by Austrian law (save that nothing in these conditions limits or excludes (i) liability for death or personal injury arising out of the negligence of any at the above mentioned parties, or (ii) any damage incurred by way of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by any of the above mentioned parties).
  5. It’s forbidden to use the name of the Event or part thereof (nor any abbreviation or foreign language version thereof) nor any logo or graphic device of or relating to the Event for any commercial purpose without the prior written consent of FOWC
  6. By accepting the ticket, the visitor of the venue submits to the site rules and the access criteria in its current version.
  7. For security measures, you may be refused admission to/removed from the Venue/searched by officials/ filmed by CCTV.
