The end of the season at the Red Bull Ring saw the fans enjoy sheer motorsport action with dream grand tourer cars in the anniversary event of the ADAC GT MastersGrasser Racing from nearby Knittelfeld took the third podium place in their home race in Spielberg. Taking the honor for the top Austrian driver was Max Hofer, who finished sixth with his partner, Christopher Hasse (GER). The 200th race in the series was won by Jens Klingmann (GER) and Erik Johansson (SWE) in a BMW. Numerous time penalties were handed out in the anniversary race, showing just how intense the battle became. The crowds got to enjoy five racing series in total and cheer on 15 Austrian drivers.

The Grasser Lamborghini with the number 82, driven by Steijn Schothorst (NED) and Tim Zimmermann (GER), was clearly well set up for the Red Bull Ring. By clocking the best time in qualifying on Saturday, the Dutch-German duo secured pole position for the ADAC GT Masters anniversary race on Sunday. In a direct battle at the front, Tim Zimmermann had to drop down several positions though and he completed the first lap in just ninth place. Jens Klingmann (MRS GT-Racing) took his BMW M6 GT3 to the front and dominated the race until the change of drivers. His partner, Erik Johansson, was able to continue seamlessly on to seal the victory. The Grasser Racing duo of Franck Perera (FRA) and Albert Costa Balboa (ESP) gained several positions after starting in ninth, and finished in third.

Jens KLINGMANN (GER):I tried to protect the tyres for the second stint. The circuit really helped us today, and we had a bit more grip even than we did yesterday. I took part in half the 200 races. That makes me extremely pleased to win the anniversary event!”

In the TCR Germany, Hari Proczyk took a home win and left the Red Bull Ring as leader of the series. The man from the local Styria region only found out he had won on Saturday some time after the finish, as the first driver home, Antti Buri (FIN), was given a time penalty. With a superb second place in the Sunday race, the local hero took more points to move to the front in the ADAC TCR Germany.
