In order to make their arrival as comfortable as possible, there are a number of options to reach Spielberg - also without using a car.
All Roads lead to
Getting to the "NeroGiardini Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich 2017" is possible on many ways. The Red Bull Ring at Spielberg is located centrally in the Murtal region of Styria, Austria. We recommend travelling here stress-free with the ÖBB-trains or by bus. Alternatively travelling individually by car or motorbike is also possible (due to high traffic-volumes delays have to be expected) and even flying in by helicopter can be done. Park & Bike offers an interesing option of getting to the Red Bull Ring.

Take your bike - walk less and leave traffic jams behind!
You can get to the two park & bike parking areas in Weißkirchen (B77 / Judenburgerstrasse 32) and at the G‘Schlössl Murtal in Großlobming (Schlossweg) via Judenburg and St. Lorenzen. Park your car and use your bike the rest of the way. Follow the signposted bicycle paths to ride straight to the event site in comfort. Bicycle parking is available close to the track.

Arrival by car
Use the S36 Murtal Schnellstraße motorway and take either exit Knittelfeld West, Zeltweg Ost or Zeltweg West to get to the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. Please follow the local traffic control system on the S36 and along the country roads. Should the traffic conditions make it impossible for you to take the above mentioned exits, please follow the instructions given to you by the executive forces. Depending on your ticket colour, you will be directed to the nearest parking area. Please memorise the number of your parking area indicated at the entrance to the respective area.
HINT: Due to the current closure of the Gleinalm Tunnel on the A9 motorway between Graz and St. Michael, there could be delays on the roads over the race weekend. It is recommended to avoid the A9 Pyhrnautobahn, if at all possible - for instance by taking the A10 Tauernautobahn.
HINT: The early bird catches the worm: Please note that you should expect extensive traffic volumes at the time of your arrival. We therefore recommend trying to arrive as early as possible.
The more the merrier! We recommend filling every seat in your car. this will reduce traffic congestion and allow everybody to get to the event faster.
Traffic reports on Hitradio Ö3 radio station provide regular updates on the current traffic situation. The Austrian motor-way operator ASFINAG‘s free app, too, offers comprehensive information regarding traffic jams, accidents, roadworks, closed roads and rest areas.

People with disabilites
Wheelchair users who have purchased a ticket for the start-finish grandstand are granted special parking privileges allowing them to drive right up to the Red Bull Ring. An additional Info-Point whose specially trained employees will help you with all your requests are located directly in the parking area for wheelchair users.
The grandstand is equipped with a wheelchair ramp as well as toilets on the same level as the grandstand seats. If you have purchased a ticket for disabled access to a stand of your choice or in the general admission area, special parking places will be available in all signposted parking areas! Arrival by motorcycle
If arriving by motorcycle, we particularly recommend the main country roads around the Spielberg region and the Red Bull Ring. Enjoy the impressive mountain passes amid the unique scenery and make the weekend an unforgettable one right from the start.
HINT: Due to the closure of the Gleinalm Tunnel it is recommended to avoid the A9 Pyhrnautobahn. For true bikers, as well as all others, there are numerous stunning alternative routes to the A9 and S36 Murtalschnellstraße that can be used to get to the circuit - via the Triebener Tauern mountain pass from the North for instance, or via the Gaberl pass, Pack, St. Leonhard or Obdach from the South to Zeltweg and Spielberg.
For arriving with your motorcycle please check the local weather forecast. On site there parking will only be available on grass.
Arrival at the campsites
The campsites are located within walking distance of the Red Bull Ring. Experience the thrilling atmosphere of a motorsports event up close and around the clock!
Please note that you must stick to the following arrival and departure times:
- Wednesday & Thursday: arrival possible all day.
- Friday: arrival by 10:00 am strongly recommended. For later arrivals, please bear in mind that traffic congestion and diversions are possible. Arrivals after 02:00 pm will be smoother.
- Saturday: arrival by 09:00 am strongly recommended
- Sunday: departures from 08:00 pm onwards
TIPP: Als use assumption day (public holiday) for your stress-free journey home.

Arrival by helicopter shuttle
Spielberg heliport is located a short distance from the Red Bull Ring. Wucher Helicopter offers both the coordination for helicopter flights and airport or hotel transfer during the entire Grand Prix weekend. Please note that helicopter landings must be announced in advance. An exterior landing and take-off area in Graz-Weinzödl can be used for direct helicopter flights from Graz to Spielberg. Wucher Helicopter will gladly provide you with prices and all information needed.

Bus parking tickets are available online!
You must place the slip behind the windshield in a clearly visible position.
Please keep in mind that the number of bus parking spaces is limited.
Buses should arrive until 9 a.m. due to the expected heavy traffic later on!
All buses have to use the Knittelfeld West exit (and follow the traffic guidance system from there onward).
The bus parking lot is open from 7 a.m. (parking spaces are assigned on site).
Bus driver information point
Open Friday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bus drivers must fill in a registration form there and will be provided with information and beverages.
