Everybody who still wants to take his own car or motorbike should start very early and use as many of the seats on or in the vehicle as possible. Arriving before 07:30 am is strongly recommended. The Ö3 traffic service provides regularly information about the current traffic conditions Due to the closure of the Gleinalm Tunnel it is recommended to avoid the A9 Pyhrnautobahn, if at all possible - for instance by taking the A10 Tauernautobahn. Early birds will get special treatment on Sunday: They will receive a breakfast-ticket at the parking-lots that they can then use in the “Steirerzelt” at the “Spielberg MotoGP Fan Village”.
Park & Bike offers an interesting alternative. If you bring your own bicycle, you can reduce waiting and enjoy the beautiful landscape around the Spielberg. Parking lots are available near to the Red Bull Ring at Grosslobming and Weisskirchen, the way to the Red Bull Ring is signposted. The parking-lot for bicycles is available on site.
Daily connections to Knittelfeld from Graz, Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Klagenfurt and Villach are available and will guarantee a stress-free journey to the Red Bull Ring. From the train station in Knittelfeld and the bus station in Judenburg free shuttles will be available for you between 7 am and 8 pm from Friday to Saturday. From 8 pm to midnight a special night-shuttle will be there for you. You can also travel by bus all the way. Postbus and Eventbus offer special services from all over Austria for the MotoGP-weekend.
All of the campsites are located within a few minutes walking-distance from the Red Bull Ring. Everybody who already arrives on Wednesday, 10th of August, will do so without any problems. From Thursday onwards campers will be lead by LED-signs on the S36 Murtal Schnellstrasse. For campsites “Pink”, “Green”, “Purple” and “Yellow” the exit Knittelfeld West is recommended. For “Blue” and “Red” use Zeltweg West. From Thursday onwards arrival before 09:00 am is strongly recommended. Departure on Sunday will not be possible before 08:00 pm.
Wucher Helicopter offers coordination of helicopter-flights as well as airport- and hotel-transfer during the MotoGP-weekend. The Spielberg Heliport is located close to the Red Bull Ring. In Graz-Weinzödl a heliport is available for landing and departures from Graz to the Spielberg.
For bus companies a limited amount of parking is available. Tickets can be bought online for € 50,- or on site for € 100,-. The parking lot will be open from 07:00 am.
