Austrian power at the ADAC GT Masters

From 9 to 11 June, the ADAC GT Masters series will stop at the Red Bull Ring and bring with it plenty of Austrian notables. Several Austrians – Phillip Eng, Norbert Siedler, Klaus Bachler and Chris Höher – are racing in the ‘League of Supersports Cars’ alone, while the partner series ADAC Formel 4, the German Porsche Carrera Cup, ADAC TCR Germany, the European GT4 Championship and the Trofeo Abarth will likewise see lots of domestic racers take to the Red Bull Ring.

Legendary supersports cars, 600 bhp and plenty of Austrians

Engines producing up to 600 bhp lurk under the hoods of the cars racing in the ADAC GT Masters. The third race of the season at the Red Bull Ring is one of only two outside of Germany. Despite that, the series includes many Austrian pilots: The most famous ones are Phillip Eng who is now racing a BMW, Norbert Siedler who will sit behind the wheel of a HB Racing Team Lamborghini and Porsche expert Klaus Bachler from the Mur Valley. In his Audi, young Carinthian Chris Höher will furthermore try to score some points in this, his début season.

During the two races of the ADAC GT Masters, the drivers will treat the spectators to true racing thoroughbreds: The Audi R8 LMS, BMW M6 GT3, Corvette C7 GT3-R, Mercedes AMG GT3, Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 GT3 make every motorsports enthusiast’s eyes sparkle. With its two Lamborghini Huracan GT3s, Grasser Racing Team – the local heroes from Knittelfeld – will also bring impressive supersports cars to the Red Bull Ring.

Thrilling partner series with home-grown racers

Besides excellent motorsports, the partner series also sport plenty of Austrians. Mick Wishofer from Vienna will race for the Lechner Racing Team in the ADAC Formel 4 series. Local heroes Hari Proczak from Knittelfeld, Max Hofer, Martin and Lukas Niedertscheider as well as Jürgen Schmarl will make tires smoke in the ADAC TCR Germany series. And last but not least, Thomas Preining, Luca Rettenbacher, Philipp Sager and Christopher Zöchling will fight for glory in the German Porsche Carrera Cup.

Up-close experience

The Pitwalk and open paddock provide fans with rare and exciting insights into the workings behind the curtains at the Red Bull Ring. Furthermore, they will be given the chance to collect autographs and take pictures with their idols during the Meet the Drivers event on Saturday, following the award ceremony.
