The second half of the European Le Mans Series 2017 got underway at Red Bull Ring this Friday. The drivers - amongst them star driver Fabien Barthez (FRA) in his Ligier JSPS17 - did their first laps and are now getting ready for the third of six races this season. The Qualifying will go ahead on Saturday (13:45) and the “4 Hours of Red Bull Ring” will start on Sunday, at 13:00.

On Friday evening, three drivers met the international media in the Welcome Center of the voestalpine wing, amongst them LMP2 driver Filipe Albuquerque from Portugal and German LMP3 driver Martin Hippe and Nick Thiim (LMGTE) from Denmark. LMP3 driver Hippe expects close contact in turn 1 on Sunday. “Whoever backs off is in the wrong place here”, he said.  There is plenty of excitement at the upcoming two days.
