The ninth racing season at the Red Bull Ring is go!

With its varied racing calendar, millions of passionate fans and many Formula 1 and MotoGP weekends, the Austrian Grand Prix circuit confirms its role as an international Mecca of motorsports after eight extraordinary seasons of thrilling motorsports action. This year, more than 206,000 MotoGP enthusiasts, 185,000 Formula racing fans and 39,500 Krone E-Mobility Play Days visitors took to Spielberg.

Besides the two top tier series Formula 1 and MotoGP, 2019’s calendar includes many popular events such as the ADAC GT Masters, the Histo Cup or the Ruppert Hollaus Memorial Race. On top of that, 2019 will see a first for the Red Bull Ring: the Ferrari Challenge will for the first time put its mark on the Styrian asphalt. Prior to the motorsports season, Lydia Prenner-Kasper and Stefan Verra will perform in the voestalpine wing in the framework of ‘Kabarett am Ring’ on 22 and 23 February, respectively. Schmidbauer, Pollina and Kälberer will stop at the Red Bull Ring on 9 March and treat their audience to their many hit songs. Josefimarkt on 30/31 March with free entry traditionally marks the start of the season.

‘Motorsport Opener’ with cult status

The Histo Cup guarantees historic motorsports feeling at the Red Bull Ring and will serve as the official opening round of the 2019 motorsports season. Ferrari Challenge premiere

For the first time, Italian power in the form of the Ferrari Challenge will open May at the Red Bull Ring – from 3 to 5 May, to be precise. The popular KTM X-Bow Battle will be guest from 24 to 26 May. More info at and

Fingers crossed at the league of supersports cars

The ADAC GT Masters will return to the Red Bull Ring from 7 to 9 June and offer hands-on motorsports with an open paddock, pitwalks and autograph sessions. With the second weekend of June being its traditional Austrian slot, it will wow its fans with a range of cars including the Audi R8 LMS, BMW M6 GT3, Corvette C7 GT3-R, Ferrari 488 GT3, Honda NSX GT3, Lamborghini Huracán GT3, Mercedes AMG GT3 or Porsche 911 GT3 R. Top tiers return to Spielberg in 2019

Held only a few weeks later – from 9 to 11 August – the myWorld Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich 2019 including MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 will mark the absolute climax of the motorsports year at Spielberg. This weekend will see everybody’s favourite 2-wheeled heroes Marc Márquez (ESP), Valentino Rossi (ITA), Andrea Dovizioso (ITA), Maverick Vinales (ESP) or Jorge Lorenzo (ESP) take to the Styrian track for the fourth time: Motorcycle racing legend Valentino Rossi’s fans are expected to once again flood the Red Bull Ring in 2019 and we can also expect the ‘orange wall’ consisting of the fans of Austrian Red Bull KTM Factory Racing to make a comeback. The future of mobility at the Krone E-Mobility Play Days 2019

The autumn of 2019 will once again see the Red Bull Ring become energized: Staged in cooperation with renowned partner companies and respected international experts the Krone E-Mobility Play Days – Austria’s most comprehensive industry – is scheduled for 27 to 29 September 2019. Its third edition will once again put its focus on giving as many people as possible the chance to test-drive an electric vehicle.
